I'm the Delegate!
Wow. I just got a huge gold seal envelope in the mail today. In it was a thing saying that I was the 2006 Delegate for my School to go to this "National Youth Leadership Forum" for medicine. I knew I was accepted a week ago, but now I know I'm the delegate from my school! Well, being the paranoid person I am, I quickly researched it on blogsearch.google.com and google, and the site, and it is completely legit. People posted stories about how they got to watch surgeries, and slice brains (yup!), and have a great time with other kids that were interested in becoming doctors.
Well, I'm gonna go, I think. My parents need to check it out first. It look really interesting. There are a lot of places where it is at. Washington DC, New York, LA, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco...It's gonna be great.
Well, I'm excited, but it's gonna be in the summer. Now I have to figure a way to fit this into my already packed summer schedule: A 2 month long SAT prep course consisting of 7 hours of SAT prep a day, volunteering at 2 different hospitals, volunteering at my local golf center, working/volunteering at the San Diego Squash, and being a camp councilor at some camp.
Yeah.
